DO YOU HAVE A GREAT BUSINESS IDEA BUT DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START?

As a non-profit organization, our Startup Incubator is a platform designed to nurture and guide future entrepreneurs through the process of creating their own startup business, regardless of budget or resources; any paid portions directly support our scholarship and grant programs.

The HBIC HQ Startup Incubation Grant Program is a merit-based business incubator program for Graduates of HBCIHQ programs, specifically the Mentorship Certification or the Pave the Path to Success Program. This grant includes an application process to be voted on by our Board of Directors and a select Grant Evaluation Committee.

Upon receiving a positive, unanimous vote, the Grant will award access to the support and tools needed through each step in the Startup Incubator program, determined by each award level.

The Startup Incubator Grant is to be used to support the following business objectives:

  • Official Business Filing expenses, including State, Local, and Tax form filing
  • Training and materials expenses including but not limited to production strategy, market analysis & operations cost analysis reports
  • Web domain and branding expenses, including launch strategy and marketing expenses
  • Certain startup companies are eligible to work with partnering agencies to provide further support for seed fund venture capital fundraising once they have been effectively established.

Grant levels vary and are based on merit, need, application requirements, and financial factors; and are subject to the fulfillment of training courses as well as other requisites.

Grants my be applied for by qualifying members who meet certain eligibility requirements and complete the application the process. Grants are awarded via vote, based on materials and information supplied during the application process.
