Mentorship Certification FAQs
MENTORSHIP CERTIFICATION FAQS
- What it is
- The Mentorship Certification program is a practical approach to mentorship training focusing on results-based techniques & best practices. The certification requires 20 mentor-hours as well as successful completion of all lessons, course materials and hands-on assignments in a real world environment.
- Who it’s for
- The Mentorship Certification program was designed to provide a hands-on, practical approach to mentorship best practices for women who wish to lend their support and experience to the guidance of others, either as part of their career/profession, an expression of altruism, or, more commonly, both.
- What it Covers
- The Mentorship Certification program covers everything you need to for successful and effective mentoring. Course lessons include: Mentorship Basics, Motivation Techniques, How to Craft Mentor Sessions, and Mentor Pairing. In addition to these lessons, the program also pairs mentees for a guided real-world mentor experience.
- How it Works
- This program includes weekly classes, a Mentor Bio in our Community Directory, 20 hours of paired mentee sessions, & is designed to be completed in 16 weeks. Each mentor will be paired with one or more participants of the Pave the Path to Success program & will be featured in our Community Directory so mentees can find and connect with a Certified Mentor.
- Continued Success
- In addition to receiving Mentor Certification, you will also have the opportunity to create and host your own Circle Challenge at HBICHQ.com to demonstrate & share your skills, & reach potential mentees. This is especially beneficial for those who wish to continue with educational mentorship or pursue mentoring or coaching as a career path. Hosting for the Circle Challenge is limited to Certified Mentors, in order to help continue their leadership experience, provide a platform for their voice, & help them reach potential clients and mentees.

- Online Meetings: Communal Learning Experience
- This program consists of 6 weekly meetings for course lessons, followed by 10 weeks of bi-weekly meetings for hands-on training and paired mentoring to satisfy the 20 mentor-hour requirement. Class meeting and mentee meeting attendance is mandatory.

- Hands-On: Real-World Experience
- Paired mentoring and required mentor-hours ensure that each graduate has the hands-on, real-world experience needed to succeed in their future path, build confidence, hone their voice, and demonstrate their knowledge-share and leadership skills.
- Continued Success: Your Personal Platform
